For the next in the series of VF1000F modifications we turn to the rear.  This time I am replacing the stock rear wheel with one from a CBR600F2.  This is another great modification as many of you know.  A kit is available for this modification, see the Performance Parts Page for ordering information.

The benefits of this are:
  1. 17" x 4.5" wheel allows you to use modern tires
  2. The 17" wheel diameter makes a huge improvement in handling and traction
  3. Looks cool!

The following parts will need to be modified or replaced:

Here are some basic pictures showing how the wheel fits up and what it looks like.  The last four pictures show the version that uses an F2 rear caliper and bracket.
